What up! February 10, 2014

Hallo Familie!

I hope that you have all had a great week! This last week was better for me. I was still coughing and a bit sick up until Wednesday and so Sis. Kosak told us to stay inside again and if I wasn't better by Thursday to go to a doctor to make sure that I didn't have Bronchitis. I woke up on Thursday feeling better. I still to this day have a little bit of a cough but it's slowly getting better and I feel pretty good.

It's fun to see some of the plans for the house! Your right that there isn't a whole lot that I really understand especially the actual layout. It looks like a bunch of insane lines and a jumble of words. But it is still fun and cool to see some progress being made!

In terms of the package I still haven't sent it:) I just haven't had time to get to the Post and send it yet. All I have in it is stuff that I bought or received for Christmas. I just don't want to have to deal with trying to pack around a bunch of stuff in boxes and stuff.

Yes Transfer calls are this week on Saturday. I still have mixed feelings about it. Part of me still wants to leave and get to a new area but the other part of me wants to stay because of the great love I have for the Branch here. The city also feels like a part of me and it would be weird to have to go somewhere else and call it home. I have put a lot of work into trying to ''till the ground'' here and it would be nice to be able to enjoy some of the harvest as well but it is all a trade off. We'll just have to wait and see and leave it up to the Lord. It's his work and unfortunately I don't have much control over this side of things;)

We Had our Zone Training Meeting on Wednesday this week and it was good...kinda. I was still sick but we had to go to it. I was pretty drugged up on cold and cough medicine so I just kinda sat there and tried to focus but I was pretty light headed and loopy the whole time haha:) Sis. Kosak wanted me to just rest and so afterwords we went home and I fell asleep at like 3:30. I then  woke up at 7:30 that night. It was one of the deepest sleeps I have ever had. Ya know the type where you wake up and your not sure what year it is or where you are? Oh man it was great though:) You don't get many opportunities for naps and stuff out here so it was a welcome blessing.

On Friday we went with Sis. Anderson and the Freiberg Elders to the Temple again. I really love going to the Temple. It is an awesome recharge and it makes me happy to be able to help some of those on the other side receive the blessings of the Temple. It's also fun because all the Temple  workers love when we come. It spreads like wildfire that " Die Elders sind Da!" They all come up excitedly asking us where we are from and stuff like that. You all know how much I love being the center of attention so its just really great;)but really I do enjoy having the opportunity to go and experience the blessings of the Temple.

On Saturday we did something a little different from our normal finding activities. We made a survey and went to the city market in Meißen.We split up in the square (still within sight and sound of course) and Peterson spent the whole time singing hymns and I walked around talking with the people. It was cool because his voice echoed off all the buildings and brought a nice spirit to the place. I had a bunch of good conversations and shared my testimony of the Plan of Salvation with some people but unfortunately we weren't able to set any appointments. It was still an awesome time and was a lot of fun. Our appointment that night with an investigator named Herr Töpfer (Herr means Mr.) fell out again. He called right as we were about to pray to leave the apartment and said that he couldn't make it but pushed it to next week. I really hope I get to meet with him at least once if I do get transferred this next Transfer!

That was pretty much all the highlights of the week. Oh wait! When we were walking home last night a group of kids probably about 8-11 years old ran up to us and asked if we were the ones at Markt singing and talking with people. We said that it was us and then they got all excited. They said that they thought we looked gay but that we were actually pretty cool haha. We kind of laughed but then the one kid said he wanted to be friends with us on Facebook. He couldn't believe it when we said that we didn't have facebook and asked if we were alive back in the world war. The kids here are pretty funny sometimes and its funny when they approach you to ask why we are dressed weird and what we are doing.

Well that was pretty much my week.  I hope I gave a little bit more detail than I have for the past couple of weeks!  I hope you all have a great week! I enjoy reading your emails every week. It makes me feel closer to you all and I am blessed to be able to have weekly contact with you so easily.I have a Testimony of Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. I know that they have a plan for us and that they love each one of us. I hope you all know that! I also love you all! Stay awesome everyone!
