This really was a good week! We had a lot happen as apposed to the last couple weeks. We still struggled to find new investigators but that seems to have been a common struggle throughout most of my mission;)
On Tuesday last week we went by on a bunch of contacts and less actives. One lady(old contact) was home and didn't have time. She said that she remembers us from earlier and that we should come back another time. We'll try to go by again sometime this week and hopefully we can catch her at a better time.
On Wednesday we went to more less actives. We found that no body is ever home when we go by on them, even when we go at times that people would normally be home! Naja, after we do all that we can do, what more can you do? We finished the day with our weekly Ward Mission Coordination meeting. It was pretty good. Our Ward Mission Leader has been on vacation for the last month so the assistant and the ward missionaries have been doing it with us. It will be good now that he is back. Now we can solidify the plans for anything we want to do for Christmas in the area of missionary work with the ward.
On Thursday we had an appointment planned with a lady named Frau Haaks. She called us that morning and told us that she couldn't do it and that she would call us today and make out another appointment. We'll see if she does it;) We also met with George again after a little while. He is a fun guy to meet with and I really consider him a friend. He always tells us the latest news going down in America haha. He's a really talkative guy and we get into some good discussions.
On Friday we had our interviews with President Kosak. It was really good! President has such an incredible gift of the spirit of discernment. I had a couple of questions that I went with that I wanted to ask him. In the first 5-10 minutes he had answered every single question that I had. In some ways the answers that I got were better than they would have been had I asked the questions the way that I had them written. We talked about my time in Neumünster and he told me that I would be leaving this next transfer. It isn't 100% for sure because he says things a lot and then changes his mind but there is a pretty good chance. I only have 4 more transfers so there is a good chance that this next one will be my last city. It's definitely a weird thought. We also met with Bro Bröcker, the less active that we have met with a bunch in the past. He is the guy who was in the bishopric and stuff and then fell away. We talked about prayer and church and then hardcore invited him to Stake Conference, which was yesterday. He said that he would think about it.
On Saturday we played soccer with a bunch of guys in the ward. It was a ton of fun but my legs are a little sore;) It's been a while since I played some hardcore soccer. After that we ate at a Chinese Buffet and then had Stake Conference. After the meeting on Saturday night the Elders from Heide, Elders Müller and Cook stayed the night with us. We had the other session of stake conference in the morning and then had an eating appointment with the Torke family. They are awesome! It's kind of funny because she lived in Utah for a while and actually went to and graduated from Bingham High School. She went back when it was still in Copperton but its kind of fun to talk with her about it:) She still wears her class ring everyday! After we ate at their house we took a train to Hamburg for the Piano guys thing. It was sooooo coool! It wasn't really a concert but more like a fireside. All four of them were there as they are doing a tour in Germany right now. They actually only played 3 songs but they talked more about themselves, their testimonies and about how the Piano Guys came to be. They all had incredible testimonies and it was honestly way more spiritually powerful than I expected. One of the guys, the producer, talked about how he went inactive after his mission and then bore testimony about how important it is to stay close to God, even after we go home. He was crying, we were crying, pretty much everyone was crying. He had that same crying face as you Dad! You know the pained grimace one? ;) hahahaha No but really it was a really good meeting. They played "O Come Immanuel", "Bring Him Home" and " Silent Night".
Oh yah! So guess who came to Stake Conference...Bro. Bröcker!! Oh man we were so excited when we saw him sitting there after the meeting. We ran over and said hello so fast! There were a ton of people that were also saying hello to him. It was so great:) I prayed so hard on Saturday night that he would feel the spirit and make the right choice. I even called him and reminded him;) Being a missionary is so great!
The pictures this week are just some camels we found!!!haha there is a circus in Bad Segeberg that we walked past when we were there. Kinda weird to see though as you're walking through the streets of Germany.
I think thats everything. I hope you all have a great week! Love you all. Oh and yes I am feeling better! Thanks!
