Guten Abend!

Another week has gone by and theres nothing super huge to report on. This last week has been kind of slow in terms of missionary work. We didn´t really have any new investigators or even any lessons. We taught one lesson to a Muslim guy but that was kind of it teaching wise. The lesson was in english too. Halle is a University city so there is a lot of people (specifically Africans) that don´t speak German. There are a lot of people from the Middle East too. Some of them do speak German (usually not very well) but they almost always speak English better. We wan´t them to understand the message as much as possible so we actually teach in English a lot. Even still the work is kinda slow. Oh well, we are here for a reason and I´m sure we will find it.

A little update. My companion Elder von Nieda was sent to another City. I can´t remember what is was called but It is up north. The reason is that there is an elder that is supposed to be here in Germany right now from Brazil. Right now he is in England waiting for his Visa. His companion that he will have once he gets here is serving in that city up north but he was serving as companions with one of the ward missionaries. That ward missionary has to leave so President Kosak is splitting up us so that Elder von Nieda can be companions with the elder up north until the other elder in England gets his visa. As soon as he gets his visa Elder von Nieda might come back but were not sure.

On Wednesday our ward had a Musik Abend (Music Night) and a ton of the acts fell out so we as missionaries had to preform. Our Zone Leaders came down from Leipzig and player the Violin. We sang a Hymn as a district which was Fuhr Guttes Licht ( Lead Kindly Light). I actually got to sing the first verse as a solo. It was pretty awsome. There was about 25-30 people there and I felt really good about it. The missionaries and a bunch of the ward members came up to me after and all kept telling me I had an amazing voice. I could barely understand the members so I just smiled and thanked them haha. I felt pretty good about it.

On Thursday I got to go on tausch again in Groitzsch with Elder Künzla. Oh tausch means a switch:) He´s from Switzerland and his German is Incredibly hard to understand because Swiss German is kind of different from German here in Germany. Even President Kosak has a hard time understanding him. It´s kinda funny. But it was fun. Had a couple of member lessons in Groitzsch. One was a recent member lesson. This guy was baptized about a month ago and is really funny. He had like no teeth and it was incredible just to see the spirit shine through him even though he wasn´t what most would perceive as 'good looking'. The next was this really old lady that is investigating the church. She had recently fallen and was in the hospital. We went and just talked with her for a while and then Elder Künzla gave her a blessing. The spirit was so strong in the room even though I couldn´t understand what was being said. She was crying and was really gratefull after and then we left. That was pretty much the last thing we did and then I came back to Halle.

The last thing that happened was yesterday. We were following up on some contacts that we had and doing some street contacting. We stopped and talked to this lady and her 3 kids. We found out that they only speak Arabic except for her son who looked about 10-12ish. So eveything we said in German, he would then translate into Árabic and then translate back into german the moms response. We made an appointment because the mom was really interested in hearing how families can be eternal. I feel good about it so we´ll see what happens.

Well I think thats all! I love you guys! Thanks for all that you do and thanks for the Prayers!

Love, Elder Trevor Bone

P.S. You pronounce Halle as if was spelled Hawlla. So basically the 'A'and the 'E' make a long ``A``  sound:) Hope that helps!
