Guten Tag! Monday August 12, 2013

Hallo Meine familie!

The weeks are flying by but at the same time they are dragging on forever. It´s hard to describe. Things are pretty much the same here in Halle. We are just rolling along with the stone that cannot be stopped. It´s a fun thing to be a missionary. It´s not who I am. I don´t like to talk to people or do doors. It´s hard and I´m miserable sometimes but it´s still fun and I love it.

This week was good. We spent a lot of time doing finding and doors and with not much success. This weeks email is probly going to be shorter than others because I forgot my planner and I usually use it to remeber what I did that week. So I´m sorry if my memory fails and theres not a lot to read.

On P-Day last week we went to a chocolate factory here in Halle called Halloren. It´s also the oldest chocolate factory in Germany so it was pretty cool.We went with the Sisters in our area and some of the mebers here in Halle. They had some samples out that you could try and so of course I tried all of them. Funny side note. I tried this lemon flavored one and it was pretty good. I made a comment about how good it was and then with a confused look on her face sister Katalin asked if I had tried the Lemon ones. I replied and said that they were really good. Then with a shocked look she pointed to a little sticker and said ''Those ones have alcohol in them elder!'' I didn´t know what to do so I just shrugged and we all laughed. I didn´t see the sticker before hand and It was already in my stomach. It was really good though...;)

I can´t remember what we did on each day of the week so I´ll just write a few sotries that I remember from the week.

We were way out in the boonies again for our investigator Herr Zwansiger. After our lesson with him, which was fairly decent, we tried to find a contact in the same area. He lives in a small town called Mücheln and the Sisters had a contact that was in the town so we went to find it. After about an hour of wandering around and a phonecall to the sisters, we found the street. On the street there were a ton of little kids playing Fußball and whatnot. They ran up to us and started asking us who we were and what we were doing. They were hilarious and then they wanted to help us. One of the little girls said that we needed to talk to her mom because her mom ''needed Kirche'' we promised that we would come back and talk with her mom next week. When we doored the contact from the sisters, all the kids were just standing behind us smiling. It was super awkward for us and the contact but we ended up all jsut laughing. Hopefully we get time to go back and go by the girls mother and do some doors in the area.

O man. Rain. The craziest rain storm I´ve ever been in happend this last week too. We were out walking and the wind started to get crazy and then the sky looked incredible. Elder Briner said that we needed to get home fast because it was about to rain cats and dogs. It started to rain pretty bad and so we got on to a tram nearby that was goin the wrong direction but we just needed to get out of the rain. Then the unthinkable happened. The tram got stuck. We were once again forced out into the rain. The best way to describe it was that we were underwater. We just had to sprint through the rain and hope that we were going in the direction of home. EVERYTHING was wet. Absolutely crazy. THe pictures I included don´t begin to describe how funny and awesome it was. We just ran and laughed the whole way.

Well thats pretty much it for this week. I can´t remember everything and I wish I had my planner but alas, I do not. So this is farewell for this week. Until next.

I love you guys!

Elder Trevor Bone
