Well it´s been a pretty crazy week. Leaving Halle was pretty tough and I´m gonna miss it. Leaving Elder Briner and Roggow was pretty hard too but Elder Bean is pretty cool too. Meißen is a beautiful city and I´m excited to be here. I Included some pictures of us at the trainstation the day we left and then a picture of the Cathedral in Meißen.
Well here was my week.
Last Monday we spent most of the day packing and getting stuff ready for transfers. We went to the Familie Riedel for dinner and to say goodbye to their kids and stuff. We took a picture that I will try to get from Elder Roggow.
Tuesday was a long day. We got to the Trainstation in the morning and from there sent Briner to Berlin to go home and I got a train to Leipzig and then from Leipzig to Dresden and then from Dresden to Meißen. There were a bunch of the missionaries from our zone in Dresden and we all ate lunch together. For the rest of the day we spent it unpacking doing shopping and jsust getting situated.
Wednesday we had normal study in the morning and then we had lunch at a members house. After lunch we helped their son with his English. We usually do this every week and I´m excited to get to know them better! After lunch we did a little SK and went by a contact and then came back for dinner which was just a sandwhich of bread, cheese and meat. After that we had Gemeinderat, ( Ward Counsel) something that they only do once a month here. Oh Meißen is a Branch also. The Branch is super excited for missionary work so It´s gonna be cool! :)
Thursday we had a normal morning and then we went to Coswig, a city about 10 mins from Meißen. There we did some service and helped out this warehouse that has been storing stuff to help with the flood victims. We basically helped move a bunch on blankets and mattresses for a couple hours. It was cool! We came back to Meißen and had dinner and did SK for the rest of the day.
Friday was good too. We had District Meeting in Dresden and then had a district lunch of Asian food! We then came back to Meißen and did some doors and Sk and then finished the day with Dinner and weekly planning.
Saturday was an interesting day. One of the Senior Sister Missionaries here died about a week ago and so the funeral was on Saturday in Freiberg. It pretty much took the whole day and we got back later than we thought we would so that was all we really did. I tried to get a picture of the Temple but I couldn´t get one. I´ll go on Tausch there though so I should be able to get one later and If I´m lucky I´ll get to go do a session some time!
Sunday we had church. It was pretty interesting because a missionary returned and another missionary was leaving from the branch so both of them got to speak. It was an incredibly spiritual meeting! We had a Eating Appointment with the Branch President and another family and then did some Areabookwork. Then we had dinner and finished up with study.
Well that was pretty much my week. I hope everything is going well back home! New area is good. New companion is good. Language is going really good. Still can´t understand 100% but I would say I´m at about 80%. Life is good.
