This week was a little bit slower for me. It was a longer week in the moment but now that it has passed it seems as though it was pretty fast.
I also had the opportunity to do a bunch of fun activities with the Branch here in Meißen.
In my area here we don't have a car. We walk and take buses most places when we have to get around. If it's a little bit farther then we will take a train. I see you also sent me a package:) haha I don't know when I will get it but it usually takes about 10-14 days for mail to get here. When you guys send something to the mission office they hold on to it and put it into '' ZoCo Post'' which is simply a box that is then taken around to zone conferences and other mission meetings where Pres. Kosak or other office missionaries are there. This means that when a package for me is received at the mission office,I will get it at the next Zone Conference, or the next time our Zone leaders have a meeting in Berlin and can pick up the ZoCo mail for their Zone. Hopefully it's not too long but it usually wont be more than a couple of weeks to a month for me to get a package from the office. It just depends on when it gets here and how that falls into the schedule of meetings here. You can send packages to my living address but if I get transferred before I get it then It will get to there and be harder for me to get it. You just have to make sure that you send it at a time that I will get it before theres a chance of me getting transferred. It takes longer for me to get it but it is a more sure way that I will get it if it is sent to the mission office.
I think that is all so here is my week.
Last Tuesday we Didn't have to much but we did have a couple of appointments that both fell out. One was a man that we talked to on the street last week and the other is a contact that we set up an appointment with. The contact just didn't have time to meet when we had planned so we rescheduled it and the Man from the street just wasn't home. That night we also had our weekly Volleyball with the Branch. It's pretty fun!
On Wednesday we had District meeting in Meißen again and then we did Finding here together as a District. We then had our weekly lunch with the Ortlieb Family. We had a good Veggie soup. That night we had Ward Council too. They only do ward council once a month here, which in my opinion kinda defeats the purpose of it. I just don't feel we can adequately address problems if there is so much time in between meetings. Oh well It's not my place to tell them how to do things haha:)
Thursday was a really fun day. It was the branch activity so we got to go along. We got to go on a tour of an old Limestone mine that was started in about the year 1400! It was so cool! I took a bunch of pictures that I will send in a separate email. Then we had a BBQ together as a branch and played a fun game of soccer. It was a nice day.
Saturday we started out our day with normal study and lunch and then went to our appointment with our Investigator Stanley. He said that he didn't have time for a little bit. It was pretty sad but we will keep trying. Then we traveled to Dresden to the Stake Center there for Conference. Alright this is how conference works here:) So they try to watch it live when they can so at 6:00 pm we started watching the Saturday Morning session live. That was the only session we watched on Saturday. Then on Sunday at 11:00 am we watched the Priesthood session. At 2:00 pm we watched the Saturday Afternoon session and then at 6:00 we watched the Sunday Morning session live. THis is all at the Dresden Stake center so it was pretty fun! Unfortunately I don't get to watch the Sunday Afternoon session until next Sunday where we will watch it in Church, replacing sunday school and priesthood. They had an english TV that most of the missionaries and a few of the members watched too which was nice:) I wish that I could share all the little notes and totally awesome things I learned but I don't have the time nor space. Just know that General Conference was so awesome!!
Well that was pretty much my week. I hope everything is going well and that you guys have a great week! I love you guys!
