Wochenliche Hallo! November 18, 2013

Guten tag meine lieber familie!

Sorry this email is a little later in the day but I guess that it doesn't make a difference for you since your 8 hours behind me. It's alway a little weird to think of that detail that as I'm falling asleep, you are just getting out of school and such:) This week was a good one and things are starting to feel more wintery here. It still has yet to snow which is a shame but hopefully we'll get some soon. It's been pretty overcast and cold lately but still no snow! Oh and I'm trying to decide what to do for little gifts for everyone. i've gone to a couple of shops and looked at little things that I could buy. Christmas Market doesn't start until the 29th here in Meißen and I want to be able to send you the package before it's too late so that you get it before Christmas. I think what I will do is I will take out €100 from the account. From what I'm told it costs about the same price to mail a package to you guys only its in euro. So about €55-60 or so. I will use part of the money to buy everyone something small and also some chocolate and other goodies to share and then I will use the rest to ship it. Sorry that stuff is so expensive haha! I will try to find something good so I can make sure you get your stuff before christmas! I also wanted to ask you. I haven't gotten the package yet but when I do is there anything inside that I should open it before christmas for? If there isn't anything then I will just wait till Christmas to open it but I just wanted to make sure. As far as packages go I don't have to pay anything for them especially if they go to the mission office and I get them that way. If they are mailed to our apartment, depending on the size of package, we usually get a note in the mailbox telling us to come pick it up from the post office. After a few days i would have to pay a fee if I didn't go get it but It doesn't cost anything at the beginning. There is just the whole transfer delay thing about mailing a package at the end of a transfer and then me being transfered before I could get it but thats really the only setback oh and the price:) As far as essentials and other goodies from America go I will try to think of things that you could send that I can't get here or are jsut more expensive and not within our budget. There are just certain things that aren't as common, more expensive and just straight up impossible to find. I'll try to think of things and let you know for future reference.  Oh and transfers are next week so we will get the phone call this Saturday and find everything out. I think that was everything so here is my week.

Last monday we met up in Dresden with the Elders in Freiberg and just kind of walked around a big mall area. Then at the end we went on exchanges so I went back to Freiberg with Elder Bankhead.

On Tuesday in Freiberg we had a couple of cool lessons with new converts and a less active member. Then we went to the church/Temple and had a lesson with an investigator named Liu (He is from china) who is getting baptised this Saturday. He is a way cool guy and we will actually get to be at his baptism! It's gonna be so sick! While I was at the Temple I also bought a couple pairs of the Thermal Garments with some of the Personal money I had left over. Hope that was alright! :)

On Wednesday We had District Meeting and Then had lunch with some members named the Ortliebs. Then we did a little finding in Meißen and then we had our monthly Ward Council meeting to finish the day.

On Thursday we went to a town called Wilsdruff. It was cool! We did some doors without any success:( but it was alright nonetheless. Our biggest problem was we missed the last bus back to Meißen so we had to take a bus to Dresden and then a train back to Meißen. It was a long night but we still got back home on time. Barely;)

On Friday we didn't do as much ''exciting'' stuff. We went to Radebeul and did some finding. We once again didn't have much success but at the end I did buy some Kinder Eggs to try to add to my Princess collection;)

Saturday was a pretty fun day. We got invited to sing in a missionary choir for Stake Conference that evening so we had to go to Dresden at about 11:30 to start practicing. We practiced all day and then attended the evening adult session where we got to sing. All the talks that evening were all focused on missionary work. There is so much potential and urgency here in the Dresden area and we are trying to help the members have the faith to expect success as they increase their missionary efforts alongside us. It was a really powerful meeting.

Sunday we had the main part of Stake Conference once again in Dresden. There were so many people there that we got to watch it streamed to a TV in the basement of the chapel haha. It was still a great meeting and I enjoyed being able to understand pretty much the entire meeting in German! :)

Well that was pretty much the week. I always get to the end and feel like I'm forgetting something but I can't remember anything else! I hope your week goes well and that everything is awesome! I'm be expecting some pictures of Mt. Green next week haha! Einen schönen woche wünsche ich Ihnen! Ich habe Sie alle Lieb!

Tchüß!

Sorry I forgot to explain the pics again!

1. A cool pic I took at the Temple with the moon.

2. A funny statue I found in Meißen. It is made to look like he is ''holding up'' the thing above him but I thought it just looked funny:)

3. The Christmas decorations are starting to appear. SInce there is no Thanksgiving they jsut go straight to Christmas. Then again America is almost starting to just skip it too;)

4. A way cool/awesome/sexy guy that I saw at the temple ;)

I hope these help! I will have tons of other pics to show you when I get home haha!

Love You!
