This last week was awesome but sad and difficult at the same time:) Christmas on the mission is a strange mixture of incredible happiness and a little bit of sadness because I'm not home to celebrate it with you. To be entirely honest it was really hard to have my first christmas without you guys:) I'm fine though and you have no need to worry. I am a Little Child of the West Waters and The Duke of Awesome soo....I'm kind of a big deal. haha sorry I just had to do that. But really things are ok. I can Honestly say that I am always tired and I've never been more tired, frustrated, stressed and just put out than on my mission. But, I have never been a part of a more glorious cause. I have never been more happy to endure hardships than here. It's just such a joy that can't be described.
I'm also happy that you got my package. I tried to put a bunch of chocolate and stuff and I wish that I could send you more of the different brands but it just costs a lot to send. I will try to put some more snacks and sweets in the package that I will send home probly in the next week or so with christmas stuff I don't want to carry. So when I take out a chunk of cash thats what it's for:) I hope you all enjoy the Kinder Eggs because you can't buy them in America! Oh and the calendar! I don't know if I told you or not but that calendar was made by Jurgen Dzierzons brother! I bought it from him here because I thought it would be cool since I knew the Dzierzons. and yah that is how a lot of their calendars are, with all the dates at the bottom. It's not so great for writing on but you can hang it up and look at it haha!
For New Years we don't have anything cool going on. In Germany new years is called Sylvester's Day and basically everyone just drinks a TON of alcohol and shoots off crap tons of fireworks. We actually aren't allowed to be outside after 6pm on new years eve because of all the drunk people with fireworks:) We will probly stay up to the normal time and then just wake up at 12, say ''yay!'' and then go back to bed;) Theres just not a huge amount of options for us to take advantage of unfortunately.
I will quickly recap what we did for Christmas. On Tuesday we started the day with normal study time and then we had our first member app with a member named Sister Walter. Her and her 6 grandkids were all there along with her daughter and her boyfriend. It was pretty fun! We played legos with the kids and there was this one really adorable girl probably 3 or 4 years old that i build a lego fort with. We then had lunch of basically hot dogs with potato salad. Then the kids all opened their presents (They open their gifts on christmas eve) and that had to be the best part. Just watching all the kids receive gifts and seeing the joy on their faces was awesome. After Sister Walter we went with the Vogler family, the Ortlieb family, and the Krujatz family to two old people houses and we sang Christmas songs for them. That was also really fun and just a good experience. We finished the night with the Vogler family. We ate dinner of this chicken and potato casserole thing haha and then the kids opened their presents. Once again this part was just great. We then played a game called Scottland Yard. IT was one of the funnest board games ever! I don't know if you can get it in America but it was awesome! That was Christmas eve!
Christmas day we didn'T really do a lot until night when we got to Skype with you guys so ya. After that we ate dinner with the Andersons so it was again a good night.
On second Christmas, which is just the 26th, we started the day with lunch at the Kalkbrenners. You saw pictures of that so that was pretty much that. For dinner we went to the Church for the giant Ortlieb family party. The whole ortlieb clan(which is pretty much the whole ward here) doesn't fit in a house so they have a party in the church and we were invited. It was just a standard potluck but unfortunately no taters:(
That was pretty much my first Christmas experience here in Germany. It was different. Better in some ways, worse in others:) But overall it was great. I'm glad that I get to be here in Germany and that I have the opportunity to meet all these great people. I think that was pretty much everything. I look forward to hearing more about the house and stuff. I hope you have a great week. Remember to be awesome and may the Force be with you. Love you guys!

Sorry I didn't take as many pictures as I should have. It was kinda hard but this is basically what I had to work with haha. It's also hard with no snow because everything just looks the same as it did 3 months ago!
1. Basically just a really beautiful sunset we saw while doing doors yesterday.
2. The Christmas tree at the Dresden Markt
3. My bath yesterday with the bath bomb that grandma and grandpa sent me. Haha it made the water look a little bit like pee but it was cool!
Hope the descriptions help ahaha;)
Love you!
