Moin Familie!

I hope you all enjoyed Conference yesterday and Saturday. Just a thought I had and wanted to share. I'm not calling you to repentance! I just had this thought during the sessions. As I was watching the Saturday Morning Session on Sunday afternoon at 2pm, the thought came to me, " Do we pay enough attention to the Saturday meetings?" I remember for myself that the meetings on Saturday never seemed as important as the Sunday meetings. Realistically they are no less important. We really should give our full attention to all of the sessions, regardless of which day they are on. We know well ahead of time when they will occur. Do we really acknowledge what these meetings really are? They are direct revelations from Prophets and should be regarded as personal direction from God on how to be happier. Do we not all want that? Often we "try to listen" while doing something else we or justify listening later. Why would we want to wait to hear direct revelation from God!? I think if we just slow down and really think to ourselves, " What is more important?" or "Am I listening enough to hear the small ever so quiet voice of the spirit?".

I really enjoyed conference. My favorite talk was probably Elder Cook on decisions and choices. I felt that his words really hit me. I have a lot of "visions" or really long term things I want to do but my goals and actions now aren't helping me to get to that point. Granted, I am on my mission and can't do certain things but even just my overall day to day decision making could be better. I could be more obedient and have more faith and I could also make better goals about being the becoming the best father and husband I can be. Those are things I can do right now.

Once again I had a bunch of fallen out appointments. Heinz was not home for our appointment. We have had so many fallen out appointments that we think we are going to give him a break for a while. He is a really good guy but we don't think he is quite ready.

Another appointment we had also fell out because the guy wasn't there. His name is Hamdan. He is from Lebanon but has been in Germany for 17 years. We will hopefully be able to make another appointment.

One appointment that didn't fall out was our appointment with George on Thursday. We taught him about the Restoration of the Priesthood and how that applies with Conference, which he unfortunately was not able to attend. We did give him the info on how to watch it in the Internet and we hope that he was able to.

haha this will sound funny but I have to go. A member just called us and has dinner for us so we have to go. Sorry I wont be able to send personal emails but I love all of you and hope you have a good week. Oh! The pictures are just some lovely statues that I took pictures of back in Meißen this time last year. I laughed pretty good when I saw them going through my pictures. Love You!

Oh and again I got the Lederhosen ordered through the Internet. I had a member help me with the ordering part because of our rules and because the website had them on sale! Just so you know! :)
