Well...Joseph was baptised on Saturday! Oh man it was just awesome. Plus there was a little mix-up which ended okay. About 10 minutes before the Baptism the member who was supposed to baptize him wasn't there yet and Elder Aust had a funny feeling, so we called him. We had asked Joseph to ask the member to baptize him and Joseph told us that he asked the member and the member said yes. But when we talked with Bro Diener on the phone he told us that Joseph never talked to him. He said he would be a little late and wasn't sure if he could get his stuff together fast enough to baptize him. So...me and Aust had to run home really fast and grab my white pants and tie and then run back. SO I got to baptize Joseph and then on Sunday Bro Diener confirmed him. It was just a really cool day. I included the best picture that we took. The other ones aren't super good because we were still recovering from our sprint to and from our apartment and both of our faces look red and swollen haha.
We also had exchanges this week. Elder Silver, our district leader, came and was here in Langenhorn with me so that he could do Josephs baptismal interview. We did some doors in a cool part of the city. I found a street on the map the night before called Dornröschenweg, which means Thornrose way, or in other words Sleeping Beauty way. I thought it would be cool so we went. When we got there all the streets in the area were named after some fairy tale person. There was a Rumpelstiltskin way and a Hansel way and a Gretel way and so on. It was pretty funny. We talked with this old guy on his doorstep for like 40 minutes. He kept telling us that he was a "heathen through and through" and that we wouldn't be able to save him. He was definitely an atheist but he was pretty funny. He kept telling us that there are no absolute truths and that truth is only partially true because it is relative. I tried to point out that he was claiming an absolute truth by claiming that there are no absolute truths but he didn't believe me.
Other than that it was a pretty normal week in terms of finding. We went by on a lot of less actives and contacts. Our investigators are all still out of town and it is definitely testing my patience!
I have to be honest and say that I am jealous of the snow you got. It has been about 55-60° F lately (in the last couple days). Humidity and heat just aren't my favorite.
Well I hope that you are all doing well and that you can overcome your homesickness for South Jordan;) I love you all and hope you have a great week!
