Moin Familie!

I hope you all had a great week! This week went by extremely fast! It feels like yesterday was P-Day. So before I forget next week we can Skype again:) I am pretty sure that we will do it around 7:30 pm here so that is 11:30 for you I believe. I hope that works for you. Kind of lame to do it like a week and a half before I come home but whatever;). Well unfortunately things have almost gotten worse here in terms of how our numbers are doing. But I never have been a missionary who gave a hoot about the numbers. Not to mention Pres Uchtdorf in Conference: sometimes the things that really do count can't be counted and the things that don't matter can be counted. We have been giving a solid effort but we just don't seem to find new people. Then Oliver has been seemingly ignoring us. He hasn't been to church for three or so weeks now and won't answer our calls and texts. A couple of members have said that they saw him in the last couple days as well. Sometimes it's just frustrating.

It's kind of starting to hit me in terms of the reality of the end. As I was reflecting back on this week it occurred to me that with only two weeks left my opportunity to "get" another baptism is almost certainly passed. I have hit the mark where I called my trainer a "dead man walking." I kind of feel like a man with cancer and two weeks to live. What am I going to do with my time? It's a hard question. I don't really have the privilege  to go sky diving or Rocky Mountain climbing and I most definitely can't ride a bull named Fu Manchu for 2.7 seconds. Basically I have re-realized that I am not here for myself or for " my baptisms."  I am here for them, the people.  It's not my mission, it is his.

I had the opportunity to give my "last lecture" in district meeting on Thursday. We have Zone Training Meeting next week and then the week after that we will possibly receive iPads. Apropos, iPads. Apparently there has been issues with shipping them because they were  sent a while ago but our mission hasn't gotten them yet. Not like I care;).

This week the only people we met with were Joseph and a less active couple Bro Wölfl and Sis Nielsen. She  was in the Hospital again because of another heart attack(her fourth). She's 83 but not doing so great. She is now home but pretty much bedridden. It was actually really sad. When we first got there I asked how she was doing and she responded that she is waiting to go "home". It was a pretty intense moment and I kind of choked up a bit and then asked if she was ready to go home and she said with a heavy sigh "I think so."  We talked with them for a bit and gave her a blessing and made out another appointment for next week. It is just hard to know what to say in situations like that. The room is just filled with the spirit and you can just feel pure love for them.

So something cool happened today before we left the apartment. We got a text from Limpeng, our Chinese investigator who went to china for a month! All he said was  that he was back in Hamburg! I talked with him already and he is coming to institute. It was awesome because like I said we have been kind of frustrated at the lack of investigators but now we have one! haha and possibly Oliver when he shows back up;)

Well I think thats all I have time for. I hope you all have a great week! I love you all and will see you next week! May the force be with you.
