Moin Familie!
I hope you all had a great week! This week was pretty good for me. Well I'll just get to it then.
Like I said last week we went to the Hamburg Dungeons. They weren't the actual dungeons but rather a theatrical tour showing the more gruesome sides of Hamburgs history. It was cool but kind of weird too. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures from the Dungeons:(
On Tuesday we did some doors around noon and then we helped a member Family take a bunch of cabinets and dressers apart. We also played some Fußball with the young men and so we had an awkward hour or so before then. We were already in what I call "civilian uniform" and it would have been a waste of time to go home to change only to have to change back for soccer. So because of this time predicament we tried a new service/finding activity. We took a broom and walked around outside cleaning off the street signs. Some of them here in Germany are really dirty and covered in moss because of the humidity. At first it wasn't working and it was kind of embarrassing and awkward but then we tried getting the broom wet with our water bottles an then it worked! It was cool too; we were only able to do it for 20-30 minutes or so but even in that short amount of time a couple people stopped and watched us. One guy even stopped and stared at a street sign we had just cleaned for a little bit an then just kind of nodded, as if approving our work haha.
On Wednesday we had District Meeting and then we worked at the Tafel and then we had an appointment went Oliver. He is doing really good. He came to church and has been talking about baptism so we'll see if we can't get him on baptismal date this week.
Thursday and Friday did a finding in the Alstertal, a park/river thing that goes for 5-6 km and tons of people walk their dogs along it. So we walk along it as well and try to bring them the gospel as well.
Saturday was just a weird day. There was a stake activity done by a member of our ward. Basically it was a crazy fashion show. This member is from Martinique and has an...interesting imagination. She created over 40 different costumes based on her feelings and thoughts of the four seasons. It was just interesting. The pictures I included are from the show. I didn't take a ton of pics but the three I included are "Summer" and Winter" and then the curtain call with all of them. There were more but a lot of the people had multiple costumes so you can't see all of them. We finally met Josephs kids and his former wife at the show. They both came and his 11 year old daughter actually performed in the show. His son is so adorable. He was born premature and has some physical disabilities but has the heart of a gentle lion.
Well that was pretty much the good stuff of my week. It sounds like the concert was good though! A little late for you two old people though...I don't know how you made it!
Did you send the package to the mission office or my apartment?
Well I think thats everything. I love you all and hope your week is awesome. Deuces. May the force be with you.
